Coronavirus Pandemic: The Blame Game in Middle East Geopolitics

The Middle East is notorious for its deep-rooted state rivalries based on ethnic and sectarian divisions. Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey are the three major powers in region that seek hegemony, impelling smaller states to choose their allies. At outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, these engaged a blame game about spread virus region, further straining diplomatic relations. In this article, I map out among as well other political groups nonstate actors East. This highlights how pandemic has entrenched intensified regional geopolitics.
